Prohibition of Discrimination and Harassment
It is the policy and commitment of the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, ethnicity, sex, national origin, physical or mental ability, religion, physical appearance, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
The Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice strives to maintain an Organization that is free from discrimination and harassment. Harassment or intimidation of a Board member, staff person, contractor, stakeholder, volunteer, or guest because of that person’s race, age, ethnicity, sex, national origin, physical or mental ability, religion, physical appearance, sexual orientation, or gender identity is specifically prohibited and may be grounds for termination of employment or contract or grounds for removal from the Board.
Harassment and intimidation includes abusive, foul, or threatening language or behavior. Any employee, Board member, contractor, volunteer, or stakeholder who believes that he/she/they or any other affiliate of the Organization has been harassed or discriminated against is strongly encouraged to report this concern promptly to the Executive Director / Co-Directors. The report should be made to the President of the Board of Directors if the complaint pertains to the Executive Director / Co-Directors. Complaints alleging misconduct will be investigated promptly and as confidentially as possible and follow the procedures detailed in the Whistleblower Protection Policy.
