    On June 22, 2026, the ICPJ VOTE Caucus hosted the Healthcare Candidate Forum at Ypsi Marketplace Hall. We heard where candidates for local and state offices stand on issues like affordable healthcare, mental health, disparities in access, and more.

    Healthcare Candidate Forum
    Monday, June 22, 5:30–7:30pm
    Ypsi Marketplace Hall (16 S. Washington St., Ypsilanti)

    This forum will center local health issues, inviting candidates and policymakers from state, county, and local municipalities. Invitees include State Senate Districts 14 & 15, State Reps Districts 23, 32, 33, 47, 48, Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor city officials, and County Commissioners.

    The format follows the successful housing forum model, with Jennifer Harrold moderating. This event is free, nonpartisan, and community-led.
