Intensive Peace and Conscience Facilitator Training

July 28 – August 6, 2017, Ann Arbor, Michigan
Based on the Alternatives to Violence Project, this workshop extends to skills honed in war zones and areas of violence in Asia through Friends Peace Teams ( We learned that real peace requires learning in order to not revert to expedient violence, and real learning requires peace in order to not revert to drilling and memorization. We collected tools found essential for creating and preserving cultures of peace. 
Nadine Hoover of is offering this interactive training in Ann Arbor, which may initiate an ongoing, local training group, building skills for transforming power, trauma resiliency, creative play, the liberty of conscience, overcoming oppression, and organizing based on discernment.
